The Semper Fi Fund Benefit Match is a six stage steel target pistol match that raises funds for the Semper Fi Fund. The Semper Fi Fund, and its program America’s Fund, provide immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post-9/11 wounded, critically ill and injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, and their families, ensuring that they have the resources they need during their recovery and transition back to their communities. Since establishing the Semper Fi Fund in 2004, we’ve issued more than 182,000 grants, totaling more than $187 million in assistance to over 22,000 of our heroes and their families. For every dollar raised, 94 cents goes directly to the veterans and their families.
The America’s Fund program has assisted over 1500 service members and their families since March 2012, and we have issued over 9,300 grants, totaling $13.9 million in assistance. We work to ensure that no one is left behind. For every dollar raised, 94 cents goes directly to the veterans and their families.
Wanting to expand its efforts beyond Marines and Sailors, the Semper Fi Fund announced in March 2012, the creation of America’s Fund, a self-funded program of the Semper Fi Fund created to direct urgently needed resources and financial support to combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. The America’s Fund program has assisted over 1500 service members and their families since March 2012, and we have issued over 9,300 grants, totaling $13.9 million in assistance. We work to ensure that no one is left behind.
In June of 2018, over 100 competitors from 4 states gathered together to show their support for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice of themselves for this country. We were able to raise over $4,600 to give to the fund and had a great time doing it.
Match, class and division winners are recognized with awards and a trip to the prize tables. Papa Murphy’s Pizza donated 40 large fresh baked on site pizzas for the competitor’s lunch and the local Marine Corps League Detachment Donald J. Ruhl #620 provides support.
